There are several tags that exist in HTML to format text, like <strong><em>, <sup>, etc. These formatting tags can make text bold, italic, superscripted, and more.

This sentence has these words in italics.


Bold and italics are commonly used together, but be careful not to over used them.

This is an example of italicized text that has been bolded. Be sure to place the tags in the correct order.

<strong><em>This text is bold and italicized.</em></strong>

Use the <sup> tag to make superscripted text.

Numbers and dates are often superscripted like, 25<sup>th</sup>.
